The Premier dual action premium pump takes on average 5 minutes to fill up or less! It takes about 1/2 the time of standard single action pumps. We also have rechargable lithium iSUP pumps so you can pump up your board anywhere without any manual labour! Save your energy for paddling!!
The Premier dual action premium pump takes on average 5 minutes to fill up or less! It takes about 1/2 the time of standard single action pumps.
Make sure your valve on the back of your board is in the inflate position. Press and turn clockwise to the UP position. This activates the non-return valve and prevents air from escaping when you remove the pump hose.
Insert the hose from your dual action pump 1/2 turn to lock the hose in place.
Make sure the grey plug at the back of your pump is screwed in - this allows for dual action pumping.
Step on the base of the pump and start pumping. Once it gets hard to pump anymore take out the grey plug on the back of the pump. This brings the pump into single action mode and is needed for the last pumping to get your Premier Paddle board to the optimum 15 PSI.
Take out the hose from the board by turning the hose 1/2 turn counter clockwise. The valve will automatically seal. At this point put the attached grey dust cover plug back on your board by screwing in clockwise. HAPPY PADDLING!
NOTE: If at step 5 when you took the pump hose off the board, the board started deflating air, then you did not have the valve in the correct position. Go back to step 1 and make sure the valve is turned clockwise to the up position.
The recommended pressure the your Premier Paddle Board is 13-15 PSI. The Premier Paddle Boards can hold up to 22 PSI; however, there is not much benefit in terms of performance, rigidity and strength to having your board inflated to mare then 15 PSI. The PSI will also change depending on the heat and temperature outside, so 15PSI is the ideal PSI for your Premier Paddle Board.
You bet! In our showroom we keep our paddleboards inflated for months at a time and they never lose air! If you leave your board outside we recommend deflating it at least 5 PSI as keeping it in direct sunlight for long periods of time can cause over expansion.
Done for the day or weekend and need to deflate your board? Here is what you need to know:
The best area to deflate your board is on the grass or another soft surface. Find an area with a lot of room. Make sure you never do it on the water as you don't want water to come in the board.
remove the bottom center fin and place in your Premier carrying bag.
Take off the dust cover
Make sure there is no sand or debris by the valve pin as when you depress the valve the air will shoot out including anything that is above the valve pin. I like to put my shades on and make sure your face is away from being above the valve.
Hold the valve pin down and turn counter clockwise a 1/4 turn and the air will start rushing out.
Allow the air to escape for a couple minutes.
Use the pump to take out all of the excess air.
Start with the nose and roll the down to the tail of the board as tight and straight as possible.
Close the valve by turning the valve 1/4 turn clockwise. This will ensure that when you are wanting to inflate your board next time the board is ready to go!
Put the strap around your board and tighten so your board stays compact and easily fits back in to your bag. Put the paddle and the pump back in your bag. Never force the bag shut.
Great question, YES! In the assembled position the paddles float. There are a lot of paddles on the market that sink right away. We put foam inside one of the champers so if you happen to fall off your board your paddle will be floating right beside you. We have seen lots of people paddle boarding on the water that fall and lose their paddles because they sink right away to the bottom of the lake.
Most likely you have the grey plug under the hose screwed in. This is supposed to be in when you start blowing up your iSUP (dual stage mode). Once it gets too hard to pump you want to unscrew the grey plug, this brings it to single action mode. You will need to pump it around 30-50 times on single stage before the dial starts registering and about 100 times before you reach the optimal 15PSI. The grey plug is not supposed to be in for any high pressure pumping. Use the grey plug until it gets hard to pump and then switch to single stage (by taking the grey plug out) for all of the high pressure pumping.
